COMMENTS
The International Trio of Tobias Meier, Gene Perla and Christian Windfeld are presented here using seven songs to complete their live album. The musicians play two of their own compositions in which the alto saxophone by Tobias Meier stands in the foreground. Bassist Perla and drummer Windfeld are equal in many areas and come up with their own fine solos. Starting with Meier’s “Tripoli,” other pieces are by Cole Porter and Wayne Shorter. |
Bassist Gene Perla with Swiss saxophonist Tobias Meier and Danish drummer Christian Windfeld. A vibrant meeting place for a beautiful concert around legendary compositions and two songs by Tobias Meier, a saxophonist to follow! |
